Isometric Nostalgia - Super Mario & Luigi's Mansion

Isometric Nostalgia is a series of 40+ illustrations I've been doing since 2018, where I recreate some of my favorite games as small isometric diorama illustrations. They're mostly sketched and inked traditionally, scanned and then colored digitally on Photoshop.
These are the ones inspired by Super Mario & Luigi's Mansion Games

Tried to capture all the different kingdoms in Odyssey, with references to at least one capture and a boss or local resident.

I was torn between doing the castle or this, but I felt this one could elicit more memories - at least it did for me

Older games are a lot of fun because there is so much room to play. NES's Dr. Mario let me use the overall layout and then go creative with what was going around it. I pulled from other games in the franchise for the Dr.s and the Diseases

Dark Moon was my isometric art for a halloween (2019 I think?). It was tricky adding it all, but I wish I had added more ghosts around each mansion.

I was really hoping Origami King was going to be a return to form, with a slightly different but strategic turn-based combat. But nope. At least it was still pretty
