Isometric Nostalgia - Nintendo Misc
Isometric Nostalgia is a series of 40+ illustrations I've been doing since 2018, where I recreate some of my favorite games as small isometric diorama illustrations. They're mostly sketched and inked traditionally, scanned and then colored digitally on Photoshop.
These are the ones inspired by different nintendo franchises
Couldnt decide between the OG Link's awakening or the remake so I celebrated them both
In 2023 I decided to play more with the looks of my isometric pieces and one of the thoughts was something more watercolored. Breath of the Wild, obviously, was the perfect candidate and The Great Platteau was the obvious choice. Try to find all the korok
It was tricky picking a specific moment of the OG smash to draw. I didn't want to do Master Hand because I wanted to feature as many chars and items as possible. The result was to use the Giant DK battle and here's where we ended up

This started as a wedding gift to a friend. In that version, there are only two captains, him and his wife, and the items being carried are references to their cats

This kicked off a trifecta of NES-SNES sci fi isometrics. It was fun going back to the OG spritework of Samus and Mother Brain and extrapolate an illustration from them
