The Last Outpost Restaurant Concept

"The Last Outpost" was a themed entertainment design project I did for a hospitality group's pitch. It centered around a restaurant, bar and speakeasy theater on the skirts of an uncharted island; the last outpost for adventurers to gather supplies, have fun, and have a meal before setting off into another expedition.

The "front part" of the last outpost focused on the restaurant & sales of supplies portion, with trinkets found through the island as decor

The back-room also served as a theater and bar, in a sort of speakeasy manner

"The Last Outpost" could visually translate into many things, so I set up a matrix of references to get a sense of the client how they were visualizing it.

With something more on the "Lush vegetation" and "indiana Jones, 1950s-esque" setting, I set off to figure the fictitious location of this outpost to inform its design

Although the project would really only ever tackle the interior, maybe a bit of a facade, the idea of a small structure that got make-shiftedly expanded overtime resonated with the client a lot, and that helped inform the final design

And based on client feedback they were refined into a colored illustration for their pitch, along a more "moody" version of the artwork, which you saw at the beginning of this project
